Why so few reviews of Tyler Perry’s I Can Do Bad All By Myslf?

I know Perry doesn’t usually preview his films for critics, but this movie was #1 at the box office, and Rotten Tomatoes has only 34 reviews of the film on its site nearly two weeks after it opened. Most wide releases, and even many limited releases have no trouble racking up over 100 reviews.

Have critics given up on Perry’s films as being for a niche (black) market?

Tyler Perry movie’s are getting old real quickly, so critics don’t really feel the need to review them because only Tyler Perry fans go to see his movies.
